    • Simon, I can see where you would think that hvweoer the fact is that the EU average is 11 days public holidays per year yet we have only 9.

  1. (name) It’s only money, get over it.
(David) Get over yourself, it’s only skin, we all have it.
    (Annie) I’ve got nothing….

    • no, it really REALLY hasn’t. We should all take a trip to the eastern block, everyone there is BEAUTIFUL

  2. A lot of cellulite going on there. She’d do well to stay out of Supermacs for a few months.

  3. OFFS. Well sure, ’tis nice to know that as the Catholic church’s power declines, there’ll be paragons of journalism like Broadsheet ready to step in and fill the void of policing people’s bodies by publicly shaming them.

  4. When will Irish women realise that bare legs in winter is NOT ACCEPTABLE! No matter how nice your legs are, it is trashy as hell.

  5. That’s exactly what I was thinking!! Im more offended by those awful, awful false suspender tights! They were so two years ago!

  6. So emigrating means you’ll never have to endure the likes of this again?
Aw, that’s so naive it’s endearing!

  7. Way offside publishing this, take it down. Corin above hits the nail on the head. Look at the responses to see what this stuff elicits, your keeping nice company……

  8. It’s disgusting to read the comments here. And what was the reason for taking the picture? Being happy to go out in Ennis on a Saturday night? I guess you went over to her and told her discretly that her skirt went up a bit. Ah no, wait you’re about as decent as you think that woman is.

    • ” guess you went over to her and told her discretly that her skirt went up a bit. Ah no,”

you can be certain she already knows. its deliberate.

  9. Shameful sh*t Broadsheet. You can’t go taking the higher moral ground on workplace bullying when you’re subjecting this poor girl’s arse to the wrath of borderline misogynists across the nation. I’m not angry, I’m just disappointed.

    • There’re many in this thread I wouldn’t call “borderline” at all, to be honest.

You’re right about the connection to Broadsheet’s alleged stance on bullying. Even if the people in this picture themselves never find this, the bullying tactics in this kind of a post are clear enough.

    • Because they regularly post high-quality current affairs posts with a twist, are not afraid to mix full-text speech transcripts with cat videos, and have the potential to be a really valuable source/aggregator.

  10. If you dress like that in public, you are asking for trouble of one sort or another – someone taking her photo was the least of her trouble

    • that a shocking kinda comment. Just because someone dresses in some way does not mean shes asking for anything. so shes wearing a dress and bare legs, exactly what kind of trouble is she “asking” for? no different to what you see in every city and town everywhere. its an unfortunate photo that is all.

      • She is wearing a skirt with a bare arss!!! Even standing tall this would be a two haircut kind of garment. So she probably should show a little more class than to bend over a counter.

The author of this comment does not endorse or condone the publication of this photo no matter how funny it is.

  11. Passed through Donnybrook on Saturday night around 9pm – you’d have thought it was the balmy south of France in summer with so much flesh on display..

        • Donnybrook last saturday, 46a Bus, the noise of the girls on the way to wesley dishco upstairs was deafening, high-spirits, nothing wrong with that, until I saw the gaggle of 13-15 year olds’ coming down the stairs to get off the bus – holy crap, everyone downstairs laughed at the get-up of the girls, it was hilarious and very, very sad at the same time, they are sending out a certain message by their dress, regardless of what they think. People should dress anyway they wish, but people are also free to have reasonable opinions without getting a slap from the PC people.

    absolutely.
the woman is clearly BEGGING to be raped, right?

  13. I just cant help myself, I keep coming back to this picture, some of the comments are hilarious!

It’s a public place, no breach of any laws!

Some of you need to CTFD!

Do you think she knows Eoin?

  14. I’m off to Canada tomorrow morning. I was starting to have second thoughts. Then I seen this.

  15. The photo doesn’t make me want to emigrate, but most of the misogynistic comments to the photo sure have that effect.

    • Yes. Logical. I can see that. A load of people on an anonymous forum (who could be posting from anywhere) comment on a photo and your reaction is to cry “emigrate”

Why not try Saudi Arabia, Tehran, Iran or Afghanistan? The countries where women being treated like 2nd class citizens is seen as a “right” of every man. There, you will learn what misogamy is.

At most, this is just a load of immature comment by juvenile idiots over-excited at viewing a bit of skin. Bless them, the most action they have seen recently will have been the handling of a KFC this last weekend.

You know why they react like this? It is because they know this woman (like all women) will never let them near her. As low as her hemline is, looking up it is as near to intimacy as they are getting. They just have an excuse to bring her “down a peg” when they see a photo like this.

Try to pity the poor saps.

      • Yeah yeah Holly men bad, Women good, nay superior (as can be seen from the photograph)

I understand there is a great deal of other sites which display more risqué material than this girl trying to buy some curry chips. So the juvenile, bad men, you describe would probably be there, doin there thang.

        Dontcha think

Maybe there just on here ‘having the Crack’ together rather than trying to take this clearly unattainable (as you describe her) specimen down a peg.

The only poor sap is buying chips

        • You were on a roll with that one, where it came from I don’t know but that is not what I said.

Bottom line, you are making presumptions.

No-where did I write ‘all women good all men bad’ although in my experience both genders have enough representative a*ses in them to make one think that sometimes.

In short, I was writing about the context I derived from the comments here and no-where else.

I have never given it any thought to where sexless saps go to post idiot messages but I do not think BS have a shorter proportion of them posting here than anywhere else.

The skinney is that most of the comments here were LOL funny.

However, some were just plain creepy or angry. This girl has done nothing to justify the “hope she gets what she deserves” tone.

Yes, it is daft going out wearing this few clothes and dafter still to display yourself in this way to the whole world.

But we are all allowed to get away with being daft occasionally without some daft foocker on the internet insinuating that rape is all we have a right to expect …… aren’t we?

  16. @ride this Pony

Just because it’s public place doesn’t mean it’s not invading a persons privacy by taking a photo and uploading to the Internet.

Personally I believe the rules have changed with regards the privacy issue, with something like the Internet, proliferation of camera phones, easy uploading/downloading facility and the ease of which something can spread around the Globe almost instantaneously.

Just like the Chap (I won’t name him) that has lost his court case yesterday, his name was blackened by the spread of a video recording (which was not him), he went to court (which is every individuals right BTW) and has been pilloried on many ‘Social Networks’ and in the Media for wanting to exercise his right to have his name kept from the media and live his life as a private citizen…..

But again, thats just my opinion.

    • “Just because it’s public place doesn’t mean it’s not invading a persons privacy by taking a photo and uploading to the Internet.”

      nope

“Personally I believe the rules have changed with regards the privacy issue,”
Personally you believe? personally i think you are just talking out your Leo Varadkar

  17. So you’re not allowed to say a$$ on this board, but you are allowed to show a picture of one. Would the word bum be removed.

  18. Dear Broadsheet,

    You are being very half-ar**d in your attempts at a cover up. Quit skirting round the issue. We demand you get to the bottom of this! As a loyal reader, I am behind you on most things but I cannot condone this naked cheek(s) Quit hemming and hawing. Add-dress the issue;
Is €1.95 too much for a slice of pizza!?!

    Yours sincerely
    Outraged of Kilbare town

  19. I’ve seen worse drunk in the George of a Sunday night. At least you can tell this wan is a girl. The upstairs bar is lower in there too!
