Members of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party Ireland and others mark International Mother Language Day. Held worldwide on the 21st of February International Mother Language Day has been commemorated in Bangladesh since 1952, when University of Dhaka students were killed while attempting to get Bengali recognised as an official language of Pakistan.
