      That’s what I said when I discovered the “change channel” button on my TV remote control the last time Craig Doyle’s face appeared on my TV screen.

    • Never saw his show…as I’d rather have my face chewed off by a rabid squirrel, but still it’s comforting to know that I can flick stations without fear.

      If only the same could be said about the radio. He does so many ads that they’ve become indistinguishable.

  12. I kinda wish RTE got a clue and him “ditching” the show was actually him being told he was useless, the show wasn’t funny and therefore he was cancelled, however RTE probably thought it was a great hit ….. sigh!! Bring back Glenroe!!!

  13. I’ll jump to Craig’s defence here, he may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but he’s a damn decent guy. He MC’d a fundraiser for my club a couple of years back in pretty difficult conditions and I was really impressed with how professional he was, and a good guy off mike also. I was involved in a seperate fundraiser within the last month involving 3 comedians, (2 on the “b” list but nationally/internationally known) and they were completely engrossed in how important they were. Big contrast. He’s got my vote, fck the begrudgers.

    • He might be a nice person but he has very little talent or likeability for light entertainment shows.

    • None of the above I’m afraid warrants a show of your own and certainly doesn’t guarentee success.

  14. I think he probably is a really nice guy, Dazzler. Always get that impression. Just not sure that comedy/light entertainment is the right area for him. Hope UK move works out for him and his family :)

  19. I know I’ll be imaginary red thumbed for this but I actually quite like him. I know he’s everywhere but I think he’s alright and quite normal.
