I think it is an assumption made that all are safe when people post jokes as above. And again, I hope it is true in this case.
There were plenty of jokes being made on the car crash post where 5 pedestrians were injured and 1 killed not too long ago.
The posters were unaware that there had been any injuries or a death.
But they knew a car ran into 5 people
That is not true. The first, unedited, pre-update post on Broadsheet made no reference to the details of what happened. The pictures looked like another luas versus car incident. It was only as twitter and people in the area updated the comments that the more accurate story became clear.
