  1. when he turned to bertie and said, i think we’ve got away with it. Can’t believe he’s still alive.

  2. Maybe he is just playing an extra in the latest Badlands/West Wing flick by Martin Sheen ??

  3. Except that’s not the Taoiseach’s seat. But yes, the image does still send shivers down the spine.

  4. In his abscence from public life the bould Micheal does the santiago pilgrimage & while crossing the via del rio he meets Devs ghost & King Edward encourages the dark(blonde )stranger to pursue his career & seek justice for the over-priviledged !
Well thats only a submission for funding anyway ??

  5. Presumably not an actual sitting of the Dáil? The little area on the left of McDowell is the Bull Pen, where civil servants sit doing sodoku.

    • There’s an organisation for former Oireachtas members. They hold conferences on political issues in the Dáil chamber annually. Quite a decent organisation, from what I’ve seen. People feel freer to talk about things properly, in a non-partisan way.

I’m not a McDowell fan, but his speech on the Seanad was excellent.

        • Heavens forbid that a person with whom you may not generally agree with may actually make a good point or speech once in a while… but please, feel free to try to undermine any poster who is willing to admit it.

Is our national parliament also available for weddings?

        Talking properly? In Leinster House?

  6. Was it Eoin mc Neill who retrieved the wood from st james’s cross in Gallicia ? or did the gomsheen recieve a bribe from the Diageo whores that based themselves in Basin St ?

  7. Dear Santa,

Please, please, please let me be Taoiseach, just for a day.

    Michael (aged 7)
