Colin Farrell would be briliant in a true dectective, hes a great character actor, just not really a movie star type of actor.
He’s not a character actor. He’s the same in every movie he’s in. Which is fine when the role calls for him to play Colin Farrell (In Bruges) and not when it calls for an actor (see Miami Vice, phone booth etc etc).
Go away and watch Tigerland. Far more than just Farrell being Farrell.
He’s exceptional in Tigerland. I’d never have thought he’d have it in him to do a role like that.
I’ve seen tigerland. Twice. He’s fine in it playing a young fella who drinks and swears and has an attitude. Which I don’t think was a stretch at the time.
Yay, the Doctor!
Daleks are always good.
Am I hearing a little Davros in there too?
That Colin Farrell bullet point deserves a post of its own.
I can’t wait for the Dr Who action with Malcolm Tucker voiceovers
“Oh, I’m terribly sorry, you won’t hear anymore swearing from us YOU MASSIVE SHITE! F**K OFF!”
“How dare you. How dare you! Don’t ever, ever call me a bully. I’m so much worse than that.”
Tucker’s Law: “If some c**t can f**k something up that cunt will pick the worst f**king time to f**king f**k up because that c**t’s a c**t!” I’ve go that embroidered on a tea-towel at home!
“If you do think about running with this pill story, I’ll personally f**king eviscerate you, right? I mean, I don’t have your education, I don’t know what that means. But I’ll start by ripping your cock off and I’ll busk it from there. Okay?”
“Give the Daleks a rest for a bit.” – Where have I heard this before? You’d need a Tardis to work out how long the BBC have been coming out with this crap.
Coz like Peter Capaldi was seriously good in “The Thick of It” – Dr Who is serious drama now etc… LOL
Answer – About fifty of your Earth years.
There’s a veey VERY rough cut of the first episode knocking about the Internets. Capaldi’s really good. ( no spoilers here) comes across like a cross between Eccleston’s who and and Smith’s ( with yes! a hint of Tucker).
