The annual Synge Street (D8) residents street party last evening.
Coconut sorbet, the match, neighbourly vibes, chilled minds.
Sure where would you get it?

It’s Miller time
How did they stop scumbags ruining this?
Told them it was a jobs fair
harbo?
No…. Davey T!
Ironic that you’ve lowered the tone.
Fair play, More hood’s should do this.
Nice vibe. Nice touch. Happened by Crinan Strand and Mayor Street lower today (back of IFSC), absolutely disguising. rubbish blowing all over the place. Not an ounce of local pride. If I worked for the council picking up rubbish i’d be heart broken if I turned onto that street.
But there are no facilities for the young people
Yeah, chasing plastic bags around in the wind is all they have.
…which can be good craic given the right circumstances.
Yes it’s amazing how much more pleasant everything is when cars no longer dominate a street.

I figured it was Dublin 8. Some lovely streets, friendly community vibe.
hipsters need to be taxed more.
Helen needs to type less.
Oh isn’t it great to be upper-middle class
I’d imagine most people would agree (aside from the upper class who would probably think it was shit)
What a sorry and jaded view on community spirit.
This is a well-established tradition in parts of Spain. The ones I’ve been to, rural and urban, were a mix of people, rich and poor, and it’s very cheap to do.
Mental note: All of the houses on Synge street are likely to be empty on July 13th. Score
Further note – The people who own them will be directly outside them.
…used to work near there…never guessed it was such a nice place to live.
Lived in a flat there about twenty years ago and it was a nice spot.
