Thought they had to supply their own car and driver these days?

Those blue flashing lights must be illegal then.

How do you know these people are scumbags? they just look like normal everyday people who are very upset to me.

I don’t see anyone attacking her or her car. Wouldn’t have a chance with the Garda there. Scumbag comment is a bit much.

What I find most interesting about all of this is it really exposes the huge amount of bigots that still exist in conservative Ireland.

Ah come off it, it also exposes the number of people who don’t want to pay their fair share and those who make a job out of being constantly offended.

Just a comment (thus the use of the comments section), but has anybody noticed that its the same bunch of people at all of these protests. Its like everytime I see a water tax protest its filled with a collection of the usual suspects and a few newbies. Many of them shout ‘traitor’ and civil war bullshit and I’m not sure some of them even know what they are protesting about. Its as if the recession has allowed the formation of a sub-culture of protestors who now attach themselves to the current protest-able (sic) cause. Many of these were probably on the front lines of the protests against bin charges, property tax etc and seem to be on the hunt for an anti establishment cause. Anyhoooooo……..

Are you really recognising the same individuals at each different protest? Because it sounds like you’re just writing off a whole swathe of people as interchangeable. No offence meant, but that sounds like your problem rather than theirs.

You’re right Dazza, apart from a few earnest but misguided locals it’s always the Socialist Never Worked Party, Shouting before Thinking and those apologists for murderers Sinn Fein. None of which will have the County Sheriff at their door when reality dawns. In short… scumbags.

Most likely correct, those really in need will have an exemption of sorts (which I am happy to support), the rest just want a good old protest and another handout.

The improving economy will hopefully mean that SF and the likes will become less relevant even to their core demographic.
