I’ve got a wicked chilli recipe with one amazing secret ingredient. No way am I letting these hipsters get hold of it!

Still, sounds like a fun night and a fundraiser to boot. The Hoops might make an appearance.

I have yet to taste a chilli that I cannot eat. What are the odd of this event providing such a thing?

I can’t make it so here it is:
A half teaspoon of ground cinnamon along with buckets of cumin and garam masala when frying off the garlic, chilli and peppers. Add mince, fry it off then use red wine rather than water with your beef stock for richness. Throw in a tin or 2 of tomatoes, a tin of kidney beans and let that bad boy simmer for an hour.
    Wish I could make it.

I forgot the tomato purée and splash of worchestshire sauce. Fupp, I’d definitely have won this thing.

What kind of chillis, red or green? Ditto the peppers? Not asking you to morph into Darina Allen but quantities wouldn’t go astray ;)

I’d normally use standard 2 or 3 little red chillis but if you’re feeling adventurous get the mixed pack in aldi and use the hotter ones.
I use 3 red or yellow peppers, 3 onions, 2 or 3 cloves of garlic and a 500/600g pack of mince.
