Who was the target market? The students and unemployed were in bed while the housewifes were watching Ireland AM.

      Was doomed from the start.

Starting at 9am was always going to be a disaster in terms of trying to win eyeballs

The reason RTE didn’t start at a proper time to try and win the breakfast crowd was the fact that the costs would have been way way higher due to the massive power the unions have in RTE.

He’s the Joyce of broadsheet comments. And by Joyce I mean Eddie Joyce, the finest plumber in Oranmore.

Yes. And I find those that don’t also don’t read any newspapers (on or offline) and rely on Facebook rants to tell them what’s going on in the country. They’ll hate government/RTÉ/ The establishment etc but probably aren’t even registered to vote.

Of course I don’t read newspapers they are full of crap. The Guardian sometimes has some decent stuff but for a left wing news outlet they move to easily to the right when it suits them. I find it’s better to follow good journos on Twitter and then back that up with some tv news coverage from multiple sources to get some balance.

Also I am registered to vote, but also think the current government is full of self inflated Neanderthals and can’t wait for a call of no confidence in the Taoiseach.

Netflix is great and I use it a lot but so is the offers on the satellite and cable channels especially sky Atlantic, it blows love hate out of the water.

She’s very good. I’d like to see her replace Fine Gael Cheerleader Donkey O’Rourke during the morning on Radio 1. He’s has that slot ruined. He’s a turnip.

      + 1. He’s all over FG like a rash. Otherwise I don’t mind him; he’s a bit generic but hey it’s RTE.
