What you may need to know:
1. Various Brothers Grimm fairytales, including Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel and Cinderella, are brought together in Disney’s adaption of Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning musical.
2. Meryl Streep is singing again. Oy.
3. It’s darker than you’d expect from Disney (but not from the Brothers Grimm).
4. James Corden’s baffling success across the pond surely makes him the luckiest chancer since Americans took butter-faced garbage-peddler Piers Morgan into their hearts.
5. Off topic – “The Force Awakens”? Really? I guess they have 12 months to come up with something better.
6. Broadsheet Prognosis: Depends entirely on whether musicals make you feel like skipping jauntily through life or punching yourself repeatedly in the face.
Release Date: January 9

I’d rather they made Fables into a movie
+100 Bigby wolves :D
Beat me to it, but would a movie do it justice ?????
Is it me or does Meryl look rather fetching in that still? :)
Ooh-er!
….just me then….
It’s Stardust meets Les Miserable meets Malecifent.
The musical is terrific, that’s for sure.
No worse than ‘a new hope’ or ‘attack of the clones’
