Aww.

By photographer and film director, Conor Horgan.

Conor sez:

“I was at the end of the South Wall a few weeks ago, thinking about how Dublin can be such an intimate city – there’s something about the scale of it that lends itself to us being at ease with other, most of the time anyway. I saw two young Brazilian guys enjoying the sunset, and quietly shot a few frames of them. They noticed me and came over, and I showed them what I’d done. One of them asked me to do a shot of both them, and this is what happened. It hadn’t been apparent until then that they were a couple. I love this picture.”

That is a deadly photograph. Real time and soft like a proper kiss sans propaganda. Makes you wonder what the whole fuss about the referendum is when you see a moment like that. .

You’re wrong – there’s the gay agenda right there at work. Straight couples will henceforth cease to marry, the institution of marriage will be devalued, children no matter how well raised by gay couples will yearn for a nuclear family and then the sky will fall in. ( I must defer to the Iona Institute here whose (very limited and altogether strange) members are veritable oracles in this respect. All because gay people like these two lovely souls above would like a little bit of respect, value and equality to be given to their love and relationships which god forbid they might deem strong and worthy enough to be able to apply to offer a child a second chance either through fostering or adoption.

    Nice pic.
Would be nice to see more of this I.R.L, so people could just get used to it.. and get over it.

Love it. I can’t wait till the day when this becomes the norm to see around town and in the media. I’m delighted for Le Cool to put it on their cover, but the day when we can stop hurraying ourselves for publishing pictures of people kissing will be good. Love is good no matter how it comes packaged.
