easily addressed by the recruitment of a pack of youngfellas from drumalee to go and fleece the bloke of everything he owns. he’ll be standing in his jocks wondering what happened as the last of them pass him by.

Nothing illegal about walking around with a camera (as IW protesters themselves will often point out).

Is there a point to this? If Irish water or one of their contractors go to court to prevent illegal actions by protestors they’ll need evidence to back it up. Otherwise its just their word against the protestors.

Whilst shouting “you shouldn’t be filming be filming near a school” she was actually, Errrrrr, filming near a school.

There is a school opposite where everyone is. I presume she is complaining about everyone filming, not just the two lads.

Surveilance at protests is a good idea if there’s any suspicion of nefarious forces at play or ex paramilitaries being involved in the anti water campaign. The town is going to be full of protesters and shoppers with kids etc on the big Dub protest. I want the guards knowing what to expect so they can protect people in the best manner possible.

….. and all the Mrs. Brown impersonators – we’ll need extra special protection from them!

I think it’s a really wonderful moment when that honest and determined lady pointed out that those ‘thugs’ should stop filming so close to a school. I just so happened to be crouching behind the said school wall, waiting for them to come out of class, so I could have a quick tug, so thank you kind lady.
