Has suggested. That’s not fact. We may make money, we may not. Plus, we’d have to put up with all the rugby bores, which would be unfair on the population.

The Irish Times will finally be able to eliminate news altogether. “Today, the 50 most intriguing rugby lists from the last 50 days.”

Of course it’s not fact. They don’t have a time machine.

They do have the results of the RWC in France and New Zealand to go on though and both of those had positive impacts on both national and local economies.

I’ll happily take a rugby bore over the usual kneejerk doomsayers anyday.

            +2023.

I don’t know anything about it but it will be shit and cost loads of money. FFS, can we not be optimistic about anything any more?

Ernest and Young, eh, Irish Times? Attention to detail as always.

I’m all for it. It’s one of the few big world(ish) sporting events we can host that we’re actually good at. Rugby, boxing and griping.

Easy boy. You need to calm down. Just because I suggested that you might want to start respecting women doesn’t mean you have to be angry at me all the time. Relax.

That’s it, shhhhhhhhhh. And try to drop the women hating attitude, you’ll be happier for it.

Really hope this comes off. It’s an Ireland bid too, not a Republic one, so the whole island benefits.

While it would be great and everything, I don’t see it happening. It’ll be the southern hemisphere’s turn at that point. If South Africa bid, they’ll get it.

If you ring the IRFU quickly with this information about turns they may just be able to rebrand as a 2027 bid.

There’s an article on the IT website about how likely we are to actually get it.

      Spoilers – not very.
