I made a little web app that might interest your readers now that temperatures are dropping and Christmas festivities are beginning: It’s a map of (currently dublin-centric) pubs that have a nice warm fire inside. I’m looking for more pubs to add and can be contacted via Twitter.

No links in mine, but using explorer as im in work and they are still in the 1900’s. Could be the problem.

I can’t see any names, is that Mulligans? There’s a nice fire in a pub on Capel Street, about halfway down.

The small one with the music shop upstairs…? does a fair bit of Irish music, small, cosy little pub… can’t think of the name, has a green front… that’s bugging me now… :)

It’s on the map sure, it’s McNeils
And whoever said “It’s just a map” all the ;pub names are in google maps already.

Great idea, was just googling this very recently for a cosy post-shop pint with the missus next weekend.

McGrattan’s fitzwilliam lane has a fire inside and a fire in the smoking area! So crowd around ye fireside bores!

Frilly, Carlow town has pubs & bars with some fantastic smoking areas, if you’re ever in the area; they are usually as busy, if not busier than the pubs themselves, and most of them have a bar as well, so you don’t have to go inside to order your pints :)

Not a bad start, there’s a link on Yelp with 30+ pubs listed and a thread on boards for a few more.
