Is it reasonable to expect it to be like that for me when I go for the first time this year?

Speaking of idiots, mate of mine who has done it a lot went to the far side of the world on a skiing holiday. Day two he went off-piste and soon enough he lay in the snow for close to two hours with a torn cruciate in one leg and a torn achilles in the other. On his own. In Japan. On the second day of a ten day holiday.
That vid was class by the way. Snow inside a cave – those wacky French.
90% of accidents on ski holidays happen in the village not on skis! As if to prove my point I dislocated my patella over Christmas, walking to the bus! Yep jump off 20 foot cliffs ski at 100kph + and injure myself walking down the street. Will be back on skis in 3 weeks but it happens the best of us!
Even 2/3 days of lessons will set you on the right road and there is plenty of time to hammer around on your own with friends and have fun
I’d love to go on a skiing holiday but not partake in any skiing.
I ran out of superlatives about 2:00 on absolutely amazing!
I could do that.
