These were a fantastic idea, well done Shatter.

If he wasn’t an intolerable w***er, he could have been our greatest justice minister.

A joke. We give out citizenships for nothing. Where I am I can never become a citizen unless I marry a native.

Are you being held there against your will? If you don’t like it, move. In the meantime STFuppU, you miserable fupp!

We don’t give out “citizenships for nothing”: you have to pay a hefty fee. It was €650 or so when I was naturalised over a decade ago. It’s now €950.

IRELAND HAS THE SOFTEST NATURALIZATION REQUIREMENTS IN EUROPE. IN A COUPLE OF DECADES IRISH PEOPLE WILL BE IN A MINORITY IN IRELAND. THAT’S CALLED ETHNIC CLEANSING. IT DOESN’T SUIT IRISH WORKERS, IT SUITS THE BOSSES AND THE GLOBALIZERS.

“IT SUITS THE BOSSES AND THE GLOBALIZERS.”

Not to mention the soccer managers. Fingers crossed, we make the 2022 World Cup, and if the experience of practically every other European country is to go by, we’ll be depending on these “softly naturalised” folks who are “ethnically cleansing” us, to get us there.

What a beautiful, happy bunch of people there at the convention centre today. Welcome one and all!

Since we’re redefining the meaning of ethnic cleansing now, I’ve decided that it will also apply to people who post comments in all caps*

*doing an ironic shouty thing excluded ‘cos I feel like it

  5. Truth in the News

Irish Citizenship should only be given to those whose either parents
or grandparents were born in Ireland….there needs to be a provision
introduced into the Constitution to tighten this up, how nice of Mr Shatter
what about the treatment of the people of Palestine by Israel.
The Irish Naturalisation Legislation should be repealed….indeed it
may be unconstitutional and needs to be tested…take a look at who have
been given Citizenship over the years and the scandals that arose
    in some exmples.
The Citizenship issue needs a full national debate.

Flying the Irish flag, or displaying the colours of the Irish flag, is a long running theme on BS. It usually involves some unexpected location/situation.
