Watched around 45 mins and had to turn it off it was that bad.
The reviews are also slamming it. Save yourselves €12:50 and that bucket of popcorn or go see Foxcatcher.
I’m not surprised in the slightest t’ note this film is shite
Over the last week, of all the grand award show regulars, I’ve so far gone thru
Wild
Interstellar
The Judge
Sniper
And not a Zombie in any of ’em
FFS
Very dissapointing big movie roll out this year
I refuse to believe what you are saying.
Foxcatcher was surprisingly great, though.
But, but, but…. what about that piece of paper he’s holding “Pussy Eater’s Special”….
Is that a typo… should it be ‘pussy eaters special’ like a menu, or is it that there is only one ‘pussy eater who is special’
These are the important things that the world must know NOW !
The sign that made me lol
Maybe some reviews.
Overall it was well received.
Good, someone’s thinking of the poor pussy eaters.
Have to agree with the top poster — it was like the Master, I just found it really indulgent, weird pacing edits and odd placing of music, like it was made to confound rather than enjoy. The thing is, PTA clearly can make great, engrossing films with brilliant characters and music, so he’s either bored with doing that, or he’s directing films on a level that I can’t get.
The Master was a great film. High praise indeed.
I really liked this movie. I found it better than (dare I say it ) Birdman. If you found Inherent Vice indulgent, you should make sure to never ever check out the garbage that was American Hustle. For a 70’s set movie, Ill take weird pacing edits and odd pacing of music over generic predictable 70’s music and fashion and lame heist plots every time. This wasn’t PTAs best movie but It was still miles above most of the 2014 movies.

Agree with American Hustle
But Birdman, I’m still undecided.
The performances were great.
The script and storyline. Meh. Although there were two great scenes constructed around brilliant dialogue.
Overrall, far too whistful.
I did enjoy Mr Turner tho
From start to finish.
American Hustle is poor, its not a fair comparison. Boogie Nights is a more obvious yardstick and just look at the difference between the two.
Birdman is quite self indulgent I think the self indulgence of Birdman is part of the joke TBH. The whole film is very tongue in cheek and plays with the irony of knowingly being a critically acclaimed, award winning film while at the same time casting aspersions on critically acclaimed, award winning films.
