Double wide portable parking spaces come standard with the Model S.

Seriously though. Where’d they get that? No dealer in Ireland yet right?

Its a beauty and i dont blame him for not taking the risk of parking closer to other cars. I have had dents and scratches on every decent motor i ever owned from careless and jealous twits in car parks for years

it was a right hand drive Tesla S “85”
closest I could find when searching for them was in the UK at £58k, add VAT and VRT to that and you won’t get much change of a €100k note
how long of saving on petrol will repay that?
central console looked like a massive ipad, no buttons

Wouldn’t matter, has to go to Birmingham every year for servicing anyway (unless you fly out their service guy). Until Tesla open a branch here, it’s never going to be affordable.

Mind you. Still would if I could afford it. One of, if not the safest car ever built. Seriously, how many cars do you know of where you could drive across a concrete divider at 110mph and into a tree and still get out and walk away unscathed afterwards?

I drive quite a wide car which I bought second hand, I was just looking at the passenger door recently and it is in ribbons from being bashed by neighbouring cars. I put it down to the week my wife was in hospital recently as the spaces were quite narrow in the car park there. I usually park down the back of car parks but didn’t have that option at the hospital. There is probably about 7 fresh dings and chips out of the passenger door for every day she was in there. But that’s life i guess.

Now I’m not going to get too worked up about it as the car is nearly 9 years old but it is frustrating. The door was immaculate when I bought it about 8 months ago as it had just been resprayed from some light car park damage. If I ever had a brand new €100k car though it would really bug me. I would probably not be parking it like this guy though as I’d worry some vindictive do-gooder would key the side of it. You just can’t account for windy days and others who just don’t give a crap about your belongings though which is why I’m more than happy to be buying second hand. Still though, somebody has to buy them new and sell them to me in good condition! C’est la vie.
