I don’t recall that street ever not having some sort of works going on over the last 10 years or so.

My bus routes been detoured for the last 2 months minimum, when i asked the lovely bus driver how long they’d be changed he said “probably 6 months but you know what these c**ts are like”

They haven’t yet begun, but preparations to do so are underway. Unless you consider the preparations as part of the actual works. Do the preparations contribute to the ultimate objective? Hmmmmm.

How will this work then? Will people have to wait on that street for the luas and buses? Will there be a load of gardai on the street for the first few weeks to ensure that nothing happens because that street is a dump.

How will this work then? How will what work when?

Will people have to wait on that street for the luas and buses? No. People will be teleported from a location on the south side straight onto the Luas. So no waiting on Marlborough Street. That would be crazy what with everyone being murdered at the Jervis and Abbey Street stops.

Will there be a load of gardai on the street for the first few weeks to ensure that nothing happens because that street is a dump. (?)[sic] Again, no. There will be a buddy system in operation between the junkies and the “norms”. Just to help everyone integrate and to make it easier to score methadone.

On the plus side, it will be good to have an integrated tram system. Unfortunately it means the junkies will be available of the ‘ah bud’ card to get free travel to the more affluent areas of the city for their robbin and muggings and general scumbagging. Why do ticket inspectors just ignore junkies and scumbags ?
