Please.
Nobody wants him.
The slobbery goofball.

Galway SPCA looking for a forever home for a cuddly and goofy dog Bane who happens to have a rather fearsome-looking face. He’s been in their kennels for almost 2 years now…I especially like the photo of him looking pathetic at the lady.
Two years.
Galway SPCA add:
Yet again we are sharing Bane in a desperate plea to find him a forever home….20 months now he has sat in a kennel…20 months hoping …20 months of making us smile every day with his clown-like antics….
Since his last posting Bane has been doing a lot of work around other dogs and been enjoying the interaction. Loveable….affectionate….funny….All he wants is someone to love and to love him back…Is that too much to ask?
Evidently.
Anyone?
Can we possibly put (a) the folk who have lost animals and (b) those who have too many of them, together?
This is like a ‘bike stolen’ post swiftly followed by a bike store giving away free bikes.
Just lost a cutesy decrepit chihuahua? Never mind, here’s a pit bull to fill the void.
A guy told me one time, “Don’t let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in 30 seconds flat if you feel the heat around the corner.”
You weren’t marrying his daughter by any chance? Did he ever hook you up to a polygraph?
*Drops lollipop for portly Garda round the corner*
Never take advice from men in diners Hoop
“What, are you a monk?”
You talkin’ to me?
Poor doggie
Do Dogs Trust only have good looking dogs? Are they a charity or a business, can’t work it out.
I meant to say “looking pathetic sitting on the lady’s lap” but then my brain derped.
Marketing 101
Change dog’s name from evil Batman villain to something cutesy like ‘Cuddles’ or ‘Smoogly’ or ‘Batman’.
Problem solved. Next.
+1
Thats what the DSPCA do all the time. ‘Bane’ and a fearsome face is not a good combo.
The poor dog. He’s needs a soft hearted Hard man to give him a home
Anyone read this story from yesterdays IT.

Dogs can become such a part of a family that they are hard to distinguish as they can be shockingly human at times but they are a different species and their base instinct is to protect, especially if not reared from pups.
Charities do great work but I have seen cases where dogs that were clearly dangerous were re homed. This is probably such a case, more than once.
Probably.
Conjecture is one of the most charming pleasures of the intellectual life.
The case I am thinking of is where the adopted dog bit four members of the family before it was reported… by me. Not conjecture, just fact.
One day I will have a t-shirt printed up to declare that the plural of anecdote is NOT data
One single case and u damn all other rescue animals.
I have 2 myself…fearsome beasts. ..Shud see them hunt flies and spiders
They adore my little girl and are soft as marshmallows…
See? I can do it too
For every dog bite/attack story there’s 10 owners of the same breed that comment saying their dog is great with their 6 month old baby, get’s the kids up for school, makes their lunches, is really friendly and wouldn’t hurt a fly etc…. You cannot judge a dog by it’s breed, each dog has to be judged on merit.
