Pale Blue Dot Cotton
My friend works up there. He told me one day an Etihad plane paused its docking in the terminal as it didn’t know what to do about the ‘little kangaroos in their path.’

I’ve seen hares in the long term car park the size of small dogs
ahyeah
Hares the size of small dogs? That’s pretty much the size of a hare alright.

It’s the long grass around there. They love it.
I think I saw a report about it on Nationwide last week. Some show like that anyway.

Apparently the airport is basically a nature reserve for Irish hares (the largest indigenous mammal). I guess once they’ve adjusted to the noise of the jets, it’s very safe – no hunters, no development, lots of space. It’s always worth peering into the long grass as youre taxiing to the runway, especially early on summer mornings. The more you look, the more long ears you see :-)

Really? This is really quite a beautiful thought. Thanks
All we need now are some pine martens
No, the other one
I got into T2 yesterday and noticed they have pulled up all the grass into front of T2 terminal (right in front of the Short term car park) which used to be covered in hares in the summer which is such a pity – it was so lovely to look down and see them there when walking out the tube thing into the carpark. Why do they have to remove every bit of green:(
