ornua

Ornua not Renua, silly.

One looks after nodding bovine herds.

The other is a creamery co-op.

Is there only one company being commissioned to come up with these new-age bullshit names?

    Intreao, Renua, Ornua.

Sounds like a group of trade emmisaries visiting the Starship Enterprise.

      Darmok and Jalad at Tenagra.
      Temba, his arms wide.
      I miss Star Trek, TNG.

Jaysus. I need to get out more.

Mists of dreams dribble on the nascent echo and love no more.

I heard a FF councillor on the radio this morning who is jumping ship. It sounded like a joke when he said the name Renua. I don’t know how the presenter didn’t get a fit of giggles, so hard to take seriously when they sound like a cream for nappy rash.

I’d vote for ‘Theotherguys’, or ‘alsorans’ before i’d vote for them. They are like a loop the loop, throw in a load of flavours and somebody will like one of them.

Are we to translate this as “New Gold”?!? Is milk the new gold? Should I be investing my cash in stocks of milk? Where’s McWillliams and Hobbs?

I suppose you all know the reason for these re-branding exercises?

It’s because they are being privatized, de-stateified (having state or government names and associations removed). Their functions will be sold off to private operators as part of our right wing tea party governments campaign of giving state revenues over to fund managers and financiers.

It’s gonna be impossible to tell what any of these bodies actually does without research in a few years.

Ervia, Ornua, Intreo, Solas, Tusla – which one do I call for a gas leak, which one for job training and which if I think a child is being abused?

or hold for one of our customer service representatives. your place in the queue is 4,376

What if you want to apply for a job reporting child abuse involving butter and a leaky gas mask?

What was wrong with The Dairy Board? There was no need for unnecessarily extraneous explanation as to the nature of the organisation,, “Oh you work at the Dairy Board?, excellent, good afternoon to you Madam/Sir”
now we have, Oh, what? you are an Ornua, oh no sorry, your work for Ornua?, and what is that? queue on-message, bleeding-edge leveraged morkeshing concept waffle about dairy related stuff…that sounds like intergalactic levels of nonsense,.

Privatise everything – there is no Society – soon everything will be privatised and Sean Citizen is trespassing in his own country.

    1. Clonesroadcasual

Re your point about privatisation. Dairy Board / Ornua isn’t a state company. It is owned by the main Irish dairy co-ops
