Jesus that’s awful news, he only finished up on RTE quite recently I think.

RIP Bill, you will be missed.

Poor Bill, what a gentleman he was – I got some laughs out of himself and the lads on the panel, would have hoped he’d be able to enjoy his retirement a bit more.

    RIP.

Have you a source for this? Not doubting you, just can’t find it on the usual websites

Someone should inform RTE so…..not a mention of it on any radio news broadcasts !?

Maybe they’re waiting for an official confirmation. Who knows where BS found out!!

I think you’ll find Bodger went quiet with the demise of Derek Davis. Now’s the time to ask questions of Chompsky. It’s just Bibi Baskin holding the fort now.

        It was all over Twitter.
I guess unless Miriam tweets it, nobody’s really sure.

@darraghdoyle I believe mainstream media keeping it under wraps until all family told, which they haven’t. Prob should delete this

That started off with “Hook’s equal” Dunphy and turned into and somehow turned into “and”.

Aww sad news indeed. A true gent and his relaxed style of presenting meant he got the best from his panellists so much so they had a fair share of UK viewers tuned in to their World Cup match analysis. RIP Bill.

“I don’t say okey doke do I?” after watching an Apres Match sketch about the panel :)

So what he worked in PR. Do you think a criminal defence barrister is a scumbag as well?

Terrible news that Bill O’Herlihy has passed away. Outstanding presenter and even better man. Honoured to have worked with him. RIP Bill.
