Entitled “When My Father Died It Was Like a Whole Library Had Burned Down,” the plummeting bookshelves are an allusion to the feeling of loss felt by the artist at the loss of her father.

The title is OTT, but it’s very direct and I like it. A lot of people dismiss contemporary art as junk, with the boring old “sure I could’ve done that” because they don’t immediately understand what they’re looking at.
