Suzanne, at Rally For Choice writes:
So tomorrow as we all know is the delightful Rally for Life and so this means our annual counter-demo is here. We’re meeting at 2pm at the Spire [O’Connell Street]. This year it’s all the more important with the arrest of the woman in Northern Ireland for supplying her daughter with abortion pills. For many, including myself, abortion pills were the only option when it came to choosing an abortion. Rally for Life have no business trying to criminalise and stigmatise us further….

Free Abortions now! For everybody!
Including you.
The right to choose now! For everybody!
(Haven’t we been here before?)
Maybe your mam can have one of those retro-active ones, like Cartman’s mam.
Free? As if.
Great opportunity to make a few bob selling those pills tomorrow. Hope somebody’s on the case.
Tomorrow afternoon. A rally for life. A rally for choice. A rally for Greece. All in town in the afternoon. What could possibly go wrong…
They will combine to become a rally for choosing to live in Greece. They do have nice beaches in fairness
Applause
Colin McCrae would be proud.
I was at the Doctor earlier in the week… apparently I’m currently experiencing a spike in the Prolactin Hormone… and I’m not even pregnant… never mind being that, I’m not even a woman!
Yes, it’s true, my Doc told me.
If you’re feeling particularly regretful, they can out out lots of other things too. Mental and physical.
Hah! Uninformed religious nutter stuff ABM…. I should be outted for a hormone spike, love it :)
Here’s a tip, if you’re that concerned….
TIP: Stay away from tinned sweetcorn, the inner tin’s white plastic coating mimics oestrogen in the body.
did you get boobs?
Prolactin? You wouldn’t have started lactating now would u?
No boobs / moobs on me, thank Jebus!
But if you ever saw that episode of ‘Embarrassing Bodies’ where a guy was producing breast milk… that’s what can happen to men if the prolactin hormone gets out of hand :)
The sweetcorn thing was me just mentioning a similar ‘hormone’ problem that men should watch out for.
In both situations, if left unchecked, your baby makers become useless lethargic swimmers !
Here’s another TIP: Don’t leave sperm in the bag, if not having regular sex, you should choke one out at least every 2 or 3 days to keep those boys in top fitness.
@meadowlark… only in extreme cases apparently, like the one I mentioned above :)
It happened to a friend of mine once, as a (rather rare) side effect of some medication. It is a bit mad but not unheard of, apparently. Never heard of that sweetcorn thing though.
clamps, you should be on here daily with a tip ::)
+1
excellent suggestion
To do a TIP a day I’d be falling apart :)
Got that from hormone fed capon in the UK once – worrying stuff. My sympathies
Yeah, can make one sterile ……….’tis treatable….
…isn’t it… ISN’T IT ?
AAAARRRRGGGGHH!
Very worrying till you’ve got it figured though in fairness m8. Like getting to much into your female side. :-)
ABM thinks I should come out :)
Your Doc was just milking it.
Boom, boom Hoop :)
no YOU’RE milking it!
I’d need a pump for that :)
Rally for bullplop.
“When it’s your body, it’s your right to decide”
Can I choose not to wear a seat belt while driving alone then? Without fear of prosecution? It’s my body. My right to decide.
That’s to do with injuring others.
well ignoring the fact that the whole injuring others is part of the pro life/choice debate, I’d say no, a seatbelt is pretty much entirely to prevent injury to oneself (whilst driving alone as stated above)
Your ignorance hurts me every day
Being forced to wear a seatbelt isn’t going to drastically and permanently affect the course of the rest of your and at least one other person’s life though, is it? Seatbelts are enforced because you’d have to be borderline mentally challenged or seriously misinformed to deliberately not wear one, given the hassle to risk ratio.
Do you satisfy any of the criterial set out below? If so you can choose not to.
Exemptions from requirement to wear seatbelts
If you are sitting on a seat that is not fitted with a safety belt
If you are giving instruction in respect of the driving of a vehicle (i.e., you are teaching someone else how to drive). This is another example of a case where it might not be so wise to avail of the leniency of the law.
If you are driving test examiner conducting a driving test
If you are a member of An Garda Siochana or the Defence Forces and are driving as part of your duties
If you hold a medical certificate signed by a qualified medical practitioner stating it is inadvisable on medical grounds you wear a seatbelt or child restraint
Ooh that’s weird, I was humming the daisy chainsaw song a lot over the course of a day a week or two ago! Now this! Your name. Small world, or something.
Or this ones
Good one rotide, good one
What are you shyting-on about now?
It’s the law. The rally is to change the law.
You organise your own rally to repeal road safety if you think that’s relevant.
Nice headline btw
