Dublin Parking By-laws do not apply to: a fire brigade vehicle, an ambulance, or a vehicle being used by a member of the Garda Síochána in the performance of the duties of that member.

No doubt if Steve was being mugged he’d be happy to wait for a passing garda car to find a proper parking spot before intervening.

Probably but this is the back of Pearse street Garda station, those cars could be there for hours of not being used. I don’t care as they are official cars, it’s the badly parked ones at the front that are the problem

and yet the clock clearly states 9:30, wtf is going here??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More Garda bashing, sure what else would you be at on a Tuesday. Probably has the camera phone ready too to record a Guard trying to arrest a scumbag but with a bit of subtle editing it’ll be up on YouTube as “Garda handcuffs innocent man”.

To be fair, when Pearse Street was built the Dublin Met probably needed only to tie up a horse. A car is like two horses, hence the lack of parking there (but there’s a load of feeding bins though) . . .

I think the reasonable point is, that Garda car could have parked on the street without blocking traffic completely. The manner in which it is parked actually forces pedestrians, buggies and wheelchairs onto the roadway.
And lads where are the cyclists to go!

      +1

The garda cars should park on the road, rather than the foot path. The priority of vehicles using the road, over pedestrians using the foot path is wrong.

whatever about that, in general theyre very bullish on the road. of course im talking about when not zooming off to a call or whatever. they never indicate, they presume theyre being let in when theyre not, ive often had to jam on the brakes for them buttin in, and on foot i nearly got blemmed off the road as he last second decided to take a turn, then gave me a dirty look while driving by,

Or perhaps it happened once but you feel the need to pretend it happened more to make your point. Go on, be honest with yourself, it’s not nearly as big a problem as you want others to believe. Let go of the hate. A grudge is the heaviest thing to carry.

Those are separate circumstances… not the once like, but wise words all the same. lol
