It is heartless but I am more concerned that this is how shoddily they do the job we pay them to do.

It’s more of a Pepe Le Pew thing. It seemed a bit tasteless to make the joke, though.

Indicative, really, of the general level of respect we have for animals in this country. Not that it’s much better anywhere else, mind, but anyway, hope you enjoyed this comment

Young cat, if you keep your eyes open enough, oh, the stuff you would learn! The most wonderful stuff!

I do hope the cat-owner pays for the re-painting of the road. After they scrape it up, of course.

Heartless and cruel. Can you imagine the uproar about homophobia and discrimination if the cat was wearing a TÁ badge.

am i the only one in the country who found this funny?
christ, relax everyone .. ‘not doin the job we pay them to do’ .. ‘cruelty to animals’ … all ridiculous, nothin to be gettin worked up about. everyones just so eager to be annoyed and outraged about things. its a dead cat on the feckin road, and the line painting machine went over it .. probably without noticing, although i think its funnier if it was seen and the lad just rolled over it for the craic. its a dead feckin cat for god sake. its grand. chill.
