north cumberland street market. i did my anthropology thesis there in 1998 as an example of ‘rubbish theory’ in real time. when the market starts at 8am everything has a set price. by 10am vendors are willing to haggle. by close of play you can pick up whatever’s left on the ground. notional concepts of ‘value’ wnet from fixed to flexible in a few hours. it was a brilliant place.
i also picked up a hammond L102 organ with 2×15″ leslie speakers for 15 quid
