Ah here.

Brendan writer:

Another way to control us. Stick of rock from [wicklow Labour Party TD] Anne Ferris (from Bray). Warning E numbers may have adverse affects on children’s attention.

While people are homeless and struggling for a meal, Anne Ferris is handing out sticks of rock! Playing the fiddle while Rome burns becomes “Eat Rock while people go homeless”! Well done Anne!!!!

Going by some of your previous serious statements, I can’t tell if this is a joke or not.

    And in the ANC colours!
You would think that a politician would at least brand the thing.

    REEKS, not ROOKS of desperation.

Since nutrition is in the news:
Europe (E) numbers are simply a number given to and additive once it has been approved by the European Food Safety Authority. These include E300 Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) and E948 Oxygen.
Don’t insinuate something is unhealthy because it has E numbers.

Also sugar doesn’t make children hyperactive.

I was really surprised when I discovered this. I had always presumed all e numbers were terrible, possibly due to a sheet that most parents had in the kitchen showing how bad certain e numbers were. E123 was cancerous I always remembered. It was also in every variation of Wham & Desperate Dan type bar around.

The soon-to-be-ex Labour TDs will try any stunt to get public attention apart from discussing policies and I know why.

Unemployment and emigration both down today, but Irish people don’t want to hear it.

It’s an odd nation that favours misery over good news.

      1. Kieran NYC

One in seven people who now emigrate are unemployed. Signaling that it’s more of a choice again than it was a few years ago.
