A bit more traffic than expected – thrown more horsepower behind it.
That better be wrong – it’s telling me I’m almost €3000 worse off after the budget!
And now I’m up €900. Better!
So i’m paying more tax? I think your calculator is wrong.
i seem to be worse off??
Small bug there (the joys of live updates!)
*mops brow and cancels one way ticket out of the country*
USC calculated before or after income tax? with journals its being put before after I assume, as its not affecting my other taxes but in this it is
It’s calculated on the gross (i.e. before income tax).
here karl, if i’m better off by 487 bucks on the usc, why is my overall tax take higher? why am i going to be down 137 bucks next year? give it back! give it baaaaaaaaack!!!
Please bear with us – we’re coding changes right now so you’ll see some fluctuations until we have some of the major changes bolted down.
fix it with your magic money stick karl :)
An Asian guy walks into the New York City currency exchange with 2000 yen and walks out with $72. Next week he walks in with 2000 yen and gets $66. He asks the lady why he gets less money this week than last week. The lady says “Fluctuations”. The Asian guy storms out, and just before slamming the
door, turns around and says: “Fluc you Amelicans too!”
lol Very good.
No difference really tbf
Woo hoo! I’m a hundredaire! No more tesco basic for me, from tomorrow its tesco finest!
Losin’ the run of yourself already!
we’re back baby!
How bourgeois!
The right wing elements of this budget keep coming and coming. Staggering.
500 a year better off…flaps
BS socialists uncork the champagne . Looks like Fluffy is first in line for a big, fat swig. Don’t swallow it all, Fluffy. Don the Pidgeon is still scrunching the numbers….

If Fluffy Biscuits is £500 better after the budget, calculate using the current rates of tax and the information given in the Minister for Hardship’s speech how much Mr Biscuits earns (a) gross and (b) nett. Show your workings.
Three quid a week or so, about half a pint at Dublin prices!
Yuss!, coding error in my favour, now its a tenner a week, we’re back baby, etc…
Only 152 euro!? I’ll wait and hope the Deloitte calculator is kinder
That’s what you get for not having kids and not being sick!
zero changes. just more and more handsome.
Check out your USC band 3 calculation. Saving for me seems to be quite low for a 1.5% cut
Was just about to say the same. Band 3 is incorrect. 1.5% cut
Fine now.
Hmm. What happened to the full extra week’s wages Noonan promised me less than three hours ago? Methinks sums and truthfulness are not his strong points.
I put in my old stats to see how I would fare. An extra 212 euro per year!. Thankfully I can expect a slightly bigger increase in my real job. A tidy 600 euro extra in my hand every month for 2016.
And you’ll pay that back in water charges? Watery nonce!
so ill be up 500 over the year. which they’re tryna take back through water charges etc. the term ‘giveaway’ budget seems like an exageration.
Water charges are already being taken, so if anything you need to compare them to the tax cuts from the 2015 budget. Which fully covered them and more for me.
