UTV reports:
A family whose home was petrol bombed in Ballymena overnight believe the attack was motivated by Islamophobia.
The missile was thrown through the window of a house in the Kintyre Park area of the Ballykeel estate at around 1am on Tuesday.
The front room of the home was set on fire but the four family members inside were able to extinguish the flames and were not hurt.

Funny to read comments by people associating these criminal actions with the entire peace-loving majority that exists in the north. ie, behaving in exactly the same red-neck reactionary way the criminals probably did.
I don’t think people are tarring everyone with the same brush. Just commenting that they have a history of similar up there.
Much in the same way that Irish people tried to distance themselves from the IRA atrocities in the 70s and 80s despite (justified) widespread hatred in the UK, Muslims face the same struggle today. I remember people from both sides condemning IRA/UVF violence – unfortunately they could barely get the words out before the next one came along.
I’m sure we’ll be able to dig up some similar bigotry in the Republic of Ireland but for the time being let’s keep slagging the nordies, it’s easier.
One asocial feral with easily accessible petrol, bottle and probably too much time on his hands, does not make an entire nation of people racist. Although in Nothen Aghland there seems to be a cohort of people who think the world gives a sh1t about their identity crisis and flegs.
