Rest In Peace Lomo
Lomo is the Spanish cured meat. Lomu is the rugby player.
You’re jam-ing us on
Rest In Peace. Legend.
RIP big lad.
Nowhere online have I read the cause of his death, so I’m going to presume it was suicide. Isn’t this exactly the sort or reporting that support groups etc want to put a stop to?
Did he not have kidney problems?
I believe he did.
Everything I have seen refers to the fact that he was suffering from kidney disease and was on regular dialysis.
Nah he had kidney disease. He had a transplant in 2004 but I think the kidney stopped working a couple of years ago. So sad, the man was a legend and I always loved his runs for the try line with 2 or 3 lads hanging off him trying to take him down. RIP.
Fair enough. Thanks.
a …without doubt that was the stupidest post I have ever read here.
Ooh you can’t talk about rugby players
Like that
Sap
+5, conversion = 7
The same kidney problems forced his early retirement and robbed us all of more Lomu moments.
He died of cardiac arrest…. Now go away you sanctimonious tool…..
Can you give the personal insults a rest for a few days ? It doesn’t add anything useful to a conversation …
I presume you are an idiot
Can you give the personal insult a rest for a few days ?
Sorry Mum but no
I wish I had your self belief, Don.
Actually, no, I’d rather not be a dick and accept some personal change from time to time.
You’re a dreadful idiot
It’s my troll friend! Hurrah!
And something that ain’t fresh anymore..
But actually Don you are an absolute idiot
It would not take some masterful feat of trolling to elicit this fact
“Nowhere online have I read the cause of his death, so I’m going to presume it was suicide”
IDIOT
It takes one to know one
It really doesn’t.
You have a pretty bright future in track and field ahead as that was the biggest long jump to a conclusion I’ve ever seen. Think before you type
Remember that one time he swatted away Will Greenwood and squashed Mike Catt? Hell of a player and a good guy by every account. RIP Big Lad, as Disasta said.

Thanks so much for the clit, Ro’ – nearly misted up there!
splutter
I’d probably mist up myself if I saw one at this stage, been a while.
Morto! I of course meant to say clip, although I do enjoy a Magic Bean as much as the next man/woman.
Who doesn’t Neilo, Who doesn’t?
I can’t believe he was only 40. What a player, sad to see him gone. RIP.
Made his debut against Ireland too.
Very sad news to be taken so young. A perfect All Black, magnificent ambassador for the game-had the privilege of meeting him twice- and of course he was lovely.
His was probably the retirement that disappointed me most of any sports person. Very sad to hear this.
+ 1
Rob Jones at Liverpool was mine.
Had so much hope for that lad.
Didn’t this guy become a poster boy for fast food? And lots of it? Are we going to see some honest media analysis here or more Tom McGurk/George Hook hagiography?
Why’s your angle on this so despicable?
Jonah Lomu brand endured long after his playing days ended
But he also had deals with McDonalds – which brought out a McFeast burger known as the Jonah Burger

Wonder what the calorie count for that one was.
OH, best part of 500. 50%+ from fat.

What’s your point? Is that he deserves to die because he was a shill for Big Burgers?
Justin Timberlake advertises burgers and he doesn’t deser…. okay bad example.
Bertie – I’m lovin it
Johnny Logan perhaps though
