RT reports:

“A Russian Su-24 fighter has been shot down in Syria, Russian Defense Ministry said, adding the plane hadn’t violated Turkish airspace and was at an altitude of 6,000 meters. The pilots managed to eject from the downed jet, the ministry said, adding their fate is as yet unknown.”

“Habertürk TV reporter on the scene said that the aircraft “turned into a fireball.” Numerous witnesses wrote on social media, saying thick plumes of smoke have been rising from the jet crash site.”

“…A Turkish military official told Reuters the jet was warned before being targeted. The official added that the plane was shot down by Turkish F-16 fighter jets.”

Jet apparently disappears behind horizon line. CUT to [unrelated] explosion moments later.

These hoaxers just don’t care any more. Have some pride in your works lads.

BTW Broadsheet, the right hand image accompanying this post cannot be from the video you linked to. What gives?

Zuppy, were I of the more conspiratorial persuasion, I would be tempted to think that your persona and half baked theories are part of a misinformation campaign created to undermine any questioning of the mainstream news narrative. But I’m not.

    2. pedeyw

Why would they fake this? You call fake on almost all international incidents but never bother to explain any reasons.

Ignoring the fact there’s no cut in the video and it very clearly shows a plane on fire going down just behind the treeline, I’m fascinated and i have to ask:

When a video shows a plane on fire, out of control and spiralling downwards towards earth, what possible benefit is there to doctoring it to show the ‘[Unrelated explosion]’ from a conspiracy theory point of view?

    1. ReproBertie

There was no jet. There was no airspace. There is no NATO. We have always been at war with Eurasia. Don’t you listen to Zuppy?

  2. CousinJack

What side are Turkey on? given their tacit support for IS should they still be in NATO? (you know the organisation that protects Ireland, but to which we don’t belong) But them Saudi’s sure pay well.

This is an SU-24 strike/interdictor aircraft. It is not an air to air fighter. That may contribute to why it was shot down.
If you have a strike aircraft wandering about your borders to poses a potentially greater threat than a fighter, especially if it was near a populated area.

So shoot down Russian plane that is obviously not going to bomb a Nato nation. Good move.
And the Turkish are doing that why?

So far the only one pushing back ISIS is Russian, I don’t know their motives but I hear it’s to prop Assad. Sure let them at it. Or is this all about the black stuff?

Well this has been confirmed. One pilot survived the other was shot by Syrian rebels. Turkey has just given Russia the excuse for WW3. There are better brains and cooler heads in the East these days so hopefully Russia won’t go for this NATO baiting. And this is a NATO backed action. So people of the world really should be asking why Washington so desperately wants to have a war with Russia? Is it because the western economy is in dire straights and cannot be fixed as all financial ammo has been used? So you need a big distracting war or end up with the pitchforks coming?

Can we all step back from our spittle flecked keyboards for a moment.
Lets look at what we are dealing with, tfirst we have the middle eastern bogeymen (plural), the seemingly unstoppable grass roots spread of nutterism and we now have all of the big playground bullies (apart from china, so far) in the mix, who now seem to be picking fights with each other.
This, none of this, will end well.
    You heard it here first.
    Me ? I’m off to mexico…
