We used to make badges out of the old metal coca cola/ fanta bottle tops, by pushing the ring off a ring pull into the back of them, with the school jumper in between. Not good for the garment.
Millenials use a magnifying glass app and when they level up they get to do it with a built in solar oven watch…. these days.

Remember that? You could get them to about the size of a €2 coin. We used to do it in the 80s. Great fun.
Then put a safety pin on the back and turn it into a badge.
