Splitting hairs. The event is still happening and McGregor will still be fighting save for an injury himself which is highly unlikely based on his own record.

This is the new advertising style. Annouce a big fight, and then two weeks before it annouce one conteneder is out due to injury. People will already have booked hotels and flights etc by now so ya might as well go. They sell you one show and put on another…….bit of a joke.

It’s fighting. Not exactly rare for a fighter to injure themselves while training and have their fight postponed. Sure Andy Lee’s last boxing match was. If anyone booked flights and accommodation in advance after the Aldo fight, expecting to see RDA, more fool them. McGregor will still be fighting though.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is closer to the boxing of Cribb and Molineaux than modern boxing. Throw in a couple of swords and you’d be closer still.

It was much more fun before that known spoilsport* the Marquess of Queensberry abolished the use of spiked clubs and chain-maces.

Disparaging your fellow working-class ‘ordinary decent people’ as knackers now?

      How right-wing of you.
