It’s nice that somebody is, while the national broadcaster carries on with it’s own FG/FF agenda.
Today’s front page on the Indo told us unemployment was at its lowest level in years. Yesterday’s front page told us that business leaders are warning that voting for smaller parties would put Stability at risk. If one of the two biggest newspapers in the country can champion the government, a blog can champion the SDs.

Same paper is often hugely critical of the govt and has had columnists attacking Kenny for years to be fair. Just saying.

A: Because Broadsheet is against corruption.

Why don’t the Social Democrats run enough candidates to ensure an overall majority i.e. 84 seats?
All parties should do that. It’s very defeatist not doing it.
There’s only so many candidates to go round, plus funding for them.
If they show well here they’ll either get more funding or more likely, there’ll be a merging with other left leaning parties.
A second election could play into the hands of the SocDems
or “Labour” as they will inevitably be called by then

Just a question of which party eats the other.
Would not be at all surprised if the rump of Labour join the Soc Dems in a decade.
