Darragh Ó Tuathail, of the British Irish Chamber of Commerce, writes:
The UK Brexit Referendum will take place on June 23. The latest Economist Brexit poll puts those who wish to remain in the EU at 41% and those who wish to leave at 40%, which those undecided at 14%.
British people and Irish registered to vote in the UK living abroad (including in Ireland) must register by close of business today.
There are also over 500,000 Irish people eligible to vote in the UK, phone your family, friends, colleagues and make sure they register to vote by the final closing date of June 7.
UK-based Irish readers can register here.

Heard it said that the real catalyst in the Danish eventually ratifying the Maastricht Treaty (remember – rejected it in June 1992, before subsequently accepting it in another referendum) was that Denmark – against all odds and expectations – won the European Championship that year. There was a feel-good factor, and even consumer confidence went up.
I wonder if England’s performance in this year’s Euros will have any impact on Brexit.
Why do you think the UK didn’t come last in Eurovision?
I thought it was because it was a cracking tune
I love that Ukraine won – stonking song that. Also two fingers up to Russia!
Do you wish Iran where in the eurovision?
oh I know this one ^_^

I would totally vote for I Ran
Sure they let Australia take part; Iran participating is the next logical step.
Yep, people really are that stupid. Easy to manipulate.
Quarter finals aren’t until a week after polling. Given that’s the traditional point where England exit a tournament, it’s not going to be an issue either way.
all de Oirish should vote for de Wolfe Tones!11!!1!11!!!
Friigin’ in the riggin’!
Seriously though, I’d rather an accurate British vote rather than trying to influence the Irish emigrants there for home-Economy reasons. A mandate if you will.
I think Irish people in England should vote for Brexit. It would see all the large multi-nationals leave the UK for an English speaking Eurozone country in close proximity to the UK. It would be a boon for Ireland. We’d become the gateway for all these corporations.
Yes and they can sleep on park benches.
All the Irish should register and then vote for Brexit. ‘Twould be funny.
I’ll be voting Leave. Hopefully get the ball rolling for an end to this undemocratic neo-liberal farce!
