Ah yes, violence…served brutally and indiscriminately, with indiscretion and without remorse….
Sure isn’t that what our state is founded on.?

      Yah…more of this…

Violence, surely you mean appropriate force, in removing a idiot shouting and roaring at a memorial service

        1. JohnJoeMahockey

That was not appropriate force and he is not an officer of the law. It is assault.

Actually he is an officer of the law, just not in this jurisdiction. . Under Irish Law “Any person can arrest someone who they have reasonable cause is in the act of committing or has committed an “arrestable” offence, The arrestor must deliver the person to Garda custody as soon as is practicable.”

Its covered under Criminal law act 1997. Under no section, even with a prosecutor or Judge stretching the limits could you consider what he did Assault in Irish legislation. He removed a person creating a public disorder as included in the Criminal Justice act 1994.

Great that it takes a Canadian to do the work of the Gardai. Bickers actually assaulted this man in reality…but I suppose diplomatic immunity covers him for that.
In stark contrast to the attempted eviction in Clare the other day, where Gardai stood by while men in balaclavas tried to take control of a house, parked an uninsured and untaxed car outside with the number plate covered. Brought to the Garda attention many times in the space of 10 minutes, yet nothing done.
      Great little country.

Mr Vickers is a civilian here and he committed an assault against another member of the public. That guy could sue him.

Although I wonder where the hell was the gaurds and what would have happened if it wasn’t a peaceful protest.

All different headlines and pics this morning

So the top stop of the day is Johnny Depps divorce then

    No News Day

    1. Vote Rep #1

Surely Keith Barry is the story of the day?

It would explain how nobody knows anyone who voted for X party. Because they can’t remember doing it!

I think Trump has conversationally hypnotised a helluva lot of people in the States.
Or maybe I’m thinking too kindly of them.

I reckon a mediocre dance group dressed as stormtroopers getting to the final while there’s regular social media updates about star wars 8 being filmed is all kinds of suspicious.

      1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

Mediocre at best. There’s one gobdaw at the back who looks like me dancing, and that is not a compliment.

          1. Andyourpointiswhatexactly?

I know. It’s like it’s fixed or something, which cannot be the case.
I only know this by hearsay as obviously I have far better things to be doing with my time than watching BGT with my 71-year-old mother.

          2. MoyestWithExcitement

Yes, yes. Me too. I’m definitely still cool. Stayed out till 1am last Friday. Mad. B*stard. *wipes single tear from eye and puts down rte guide*
