Very good point made by Fintan O’Toole in the Irish Times. That the English voting for Brexit are also voting for the breakup of the UK as Scotland will almost certainly hold a second referendum.
He omitted to say is that this in turn leaves Northern Ireland on course to join the Republic. The DUP in Dáil Éireann may not be such a crazy idea after all.
Thank you for truncating it Broadsheet, and I mean that sincerely.
I bought that paper a few times, and dumped two-thirds of it in the bin outside the shop, (the bits with no pictures), but I never knew…I mean I never realised…nobody ever told me that…
I will NOT buy it again.
It’s those two guys, Rupert and Murdoch again, isn’t it?
I grew up reading The Beano and The Dandy. (Sometimes I might have a quick glance at a Beezer or a Bunty, but I digress…) and they wrecked them too
Eh, what’s this thread about?
AliBaba
Would Northern Ireland not be more likely to join Scotland?
cluster
Why would they possibly do that?

Dal Riada?

No. The make up of the north is 50/50 but it’s biggest trading partner by far is the South. Then there is the geographical advantage plus the fact that Scotland probably will have enough on its plate. SF are already calling for a referendum if Brexit.

genuinely feel for Lowry, but if you look at his progression he has a win in him. I’m a massive fan.
Awful of DJ was treated too.

I stopped reading the Sunday Times about 10 years ago after realising how insidious Murdoch’s actions were when he took over that newspaper. Only a fool would advocate the UK leaving the EU, but here we are.

What may seem foolish now may seem different in a few months time, financial crisis mk2 isn’t far off

Any particular data/articles that makes you think that?

The Chairman of the Bank of England, Mark Carney, said that a Brexit would lead to a recession. If the UK goes into recession it will hit our exports hard too (Britain is by far our biggest trading partner).
D'El Boy
I agree with him. I’m not sure it will be disastrous for us though. No one really knows.
4 out of 6 bin companies set up their companies abroad thus preventing the payee from knowing who they are actually paying. How is this acceptable? Its nuts.
