Well, you can’t really have a C of I while a criminal investigation is under way.

      A CRIMINAL investigation.

So let’s see if Northern Ireland or the USA will do what the Irish government doesn’t want to and investigate alleged large scale fraud.

Is there no way to launch a cross border CofI wher both UK (NI) and Irish authorities can question people in both or either jurisdiction? I’m sure it’d be rife with issues I can’t foresee but surely anyone in the north will just not answer a southern body’s questions.

Cross border? How dare you suggest such a thing on this day, the centenary of the battle of the creation of the six county Ulster state. And that’s what the Battle of the Somme was actually about. It was just to do with insular Ulster devisiveness. Who cares that there were more men from the so-called “south” fighting than those from Ulster.

So, you laugh and you don’t elaborate.

*climbs on stool, opens dusty cupboard of old biscuit tins…. finds a bronze medal*

I have a prize for you, just let me know where to send it! “LOL” :)

The FBI in the USA are investigating as are the British NCA with the help of the PSNI.

And this is why we can’t have a nice Republic. Greasy, greasy swine.
An investigation into criminality in another juristuction is irrelevant to whether we have one regarding related criminality. Canard gigantique.

      +1

Mick said the same… he also said those criminal investigations in N.I and the U.S. would take about 3 years.

Can kicking indeed .. Useless, good for nothing, do your head in, shower of w*nkers..

  2. SB

While a criminal TRIAL is underway I could understand, but why not at the same time as the investigation? There may never BE any investigation anyway. As stated above, the government got what it wanted. There will never be a commission.

I’m sick and tired of the old excuse whereby nothing can be done because it might be “prejudicial”. Why not try it and see what happens?

The hare coursing ban bill was defeated as well.

Still – at least this ‘new politics’ will get some topics the publicity they probably otherwise wouldn’t.
