Thought you might like this – it’s all hand drawn with paint markers on the boards by myself & Jess Tobin on behalf of DCC. I think it brightens up a bit of Thomas St that was badly in need of some TLC. The building’s still there btw, and the sign is being repaired.

Great job! We need to brighten up all derelict buildings like that. Well done to you and DCC

Nice work. But it will soon be ruined with the scum from bru pissing on it and dumping crap in the door way.

Wouldn’t it be nice though is something actual was done to these sites instead of (an admittedly lovely) illustration?

I look at Thomas Street every day. It’s depressing.

I used to buy all my jeans in Fitzgerald’s back in the 80’s. Frawleys was for the old fogeys like me ma.

That is lovely! But goddamn, you got my hopes up – I’d thought that this was the prequel to something along those lines actually going in there. Thomas St has so much unfulfilled potential.

Guinness and Diageo have a responsibility to do something for Thomas St. God knows everyone stank of hops up there for years without complaint but Guinness have stood by and watched the whole place decay. There’s drug dealers out in the open up there selling their wares. There are derelict buildings all over the place. I think half of them belong to Diageo. Worst of all is that whole area is one of Dublin primary tourist destinations. And they have to deal with all that? I remember a pair of soiled underpants being on the ground on the walk up to the brewery for about 6 months. So nobody from the corpo cleaned that up in 6 months.

    Eh

    Nope

    Its an effort
And it shows a steady hand
    That’s it

I feel like I’ve seen it loads of times before

What Thomas Stree needs is some colour
    Not more Grey White Black

It bit fulla’ himself this artist
    Isn’t he?

Amazing how you use so many apostrophes, except for when they are actually needed.

“Its an effort” – this is where an apostrophe was actually needed.

It bit fulla’ himself this artist – ” it bit fulla’ ” – what?

Adult Education Courses are available to rid yourself of this moronic habit.

I feel like I’ve seen your writing style loads of times before also.

      In the Barrytown trilogy.

      Wha?

      Jaysus.

      George Burgess etc etc.

  7. Gah!

As someone who can barely draw the curtains, I am very impressed with your skills. It looks great!
