Taoiseach Enda Kenny in the Dáil last month when he was questioned about Nama

The Irish Times reports:

Taoiseach Enda Kenny has asked to meet Independent TD Mick Wallace over his call for a commission of inquiry into Project Eagle, the sale of Nama’s Northern Ireland property portfolio.

Yesterday, Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin and Sinn Féin leader Gerry Adams met Mr Wallace separately to discuss his call.

The Wexford TD was accompanied at the meetings by solicitor Aidan Eames.
Mr Wallace declined to comment last night.

However, Leinster House sources confirmed that active consideration was being given to setting up some form of inquiry into aspects of the running of the National Asset Management Agency.

Poor old Enda. Paddy last every time. Has to be dragged into the open. We should have a summer school every week. Whatever happened to his ‘if you have any proof, then I’d suggest you bring it to the Gardai or the PAC’?
I’d think there will be a bit of this happening as soon as the heat is turned up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiVy7yu9n70

What better way to start, than a cross border, UK and US joint investigation
NAMA need’s to be shut down at once, all they are is a mechanism to dispose
of state assets to vulture fund predators…we also need a complete inventory
of what they owned and have sold since their inception and what they currently
    retain

NAMA’s starting to look like it suffers from the same rot that infects many Irish state institutions. Maybe whenever a new government body is set up to do anything we should just go ahead and book the court time for the inevitable inquiry a year or two down the line. We can judge that time by how dopey or slick the gombeens involved are.

I suspect when details of the investigation are revealed , there will be shock amongst the public , it may look like laws were broken but we will soon find out that no laws were broken (because we dont have the legislation ) , promises will be made, laws may be passed, but it wont be retrospective , then back around to the start of the circle for the next scandal , then repeat…

Precisely what you get from “some sort of Enquiry”.

It’s how “business” is done in Ireland. The really depressing thing though is people continue to accept it. Whether through complicity or not having a voice is perhaps a moot point.

Did anyone hear that numpty Karl Deeter on Vin B last night talking about Nama,at the end of the show?

Great praise for it he had. Clown.

He is actively, considering it as in he is in a blind panic wondering what to do.
And what the feck is next, had Irish fupping water, then the election disaster, then Brexit and now, this.
Dodge and weave, back and forth.
