Hillary Clinton at the US Democratic Party’s National Convention last night

So Hillary now takes her turn
To speak to the people who yearn
For competent rule
But more than one fool
Insisted on chanting for Bern.

Can’t understand why she didn’t chose him for her VP candidate. Go for the Bern!

bernie bros are really pissing me off now. acting like spoiled brats, forgetting the horrific consequences of letting that inexperienced pig Trump win.

Yep. They should be ashamed of themselves. Hilary has faults, for sure, but Trump not only has the same ones but a million worse to add to it. Who on earth would think that person suitable for elected office?

it’s so bizarro and double-think the way the right said Obama wasn’t experienced enough to be president but now they’re putting up someone with ZERO hours in office. and religion has always been a deal-breaker in American politics – you have to appear to be a church-going Christian to get to the top – but there is nothing religious about Trump. i’m an agnostic but it’s the hypocrisy that drives me mad.

Is this how we ought to be treated?
    Is Democracy truly depleted?
    What colour’s for you…
When your choice is a hue
Choose a yellow, accept you’ve been cheated.

Bernie Sanders was the only forward-thinking delegate in the race.
Elizabeth Warren and himself would’ve been a great team.

I have nothing else to say.
    I’m busy building my bunker.

You have no jurisdiction in a private members golf club Clampers, whether I’m a member or not.
You can’t arrest me in here,
Not without approval from the Chairman and two officials and/or a warrant signed by a Judge or something.
      I know my rights.
I always clean up after myself.
-It almost four months since I lit a fire that time on hole 14. That was an accident, I was trying to catch a squirrel. Those days are over.

      I’m with Harry…

Pick the one who will kill everyone else, not the one who will kill us too into the bargain.
      Whoop-di-woooo…

      Ah, Democracy….
…it’s fragile facade is crumbling under the weight of all this money.
      But wait…
Donald Duck Off Trump will save us…Oh wait, he won’t…Neither will Hilarious Klingon.

You desperately want both of them to lose.
Moreso, you want neither of them to win…

      I know how you feel.

    1/ Corrupt coporate stooge
    2/ Myopic populist doose
    God Save America, vote lIbertarian

Ireland the land of the rose tinted glasses for democrat party (who in Ireland would be right of FG)

i’d read up more on the libertarianism, its not the boogey man its made out to be. Smaller Government, less tax for people, no subsidies for companies, less hawkish foreign policy.

        1. Starina

and who fills the void left by smaller govt? corporations. remind me to tell you my different experoences breaking my arm in a country with totally privatised medical care and then breaking it again in a country with govt-subsidised medical care. libertarianism, no thanks.

    1. hmmm

Gary Johnson would have my vote anyway. A few of my north american friends that were Bernie supporters seem to be switching to Johnson as well, can see the Libertarians going far in this one.

  6. jimmy russell

Hillary is the perfect choice for president she is a woman america needs to give her their full support and ignore bitter misogynists trying to sling mud on her over her foreign policy record and that she’s a warmonger how could she be for war if she’s a democrat ugh some people are so stupid like trump he is literally hitler he CANNOT be allowed to win.

Oooh, what a positive speech. It made me feel so great and proud and strong. Now, behind the scenes they can go back to increasing the profits for the 1% and causing people to have to work 60 hours per week to make ends meet.

So, with the Hillary and Obama and Biden speeches – we are back to regular, old-fashioned politics where passionate rhetoric gets people all excited. Don’t they remember that this is how it has always been? Bombast, rhetoric, lies, yeah yeah yeah. Hillary, we don’t believe you. We’ve seen the light. We don’t care how euphoric the media makes it seem.

Traditionally, the first line of a limerick introduced a person and a place and the rest of the poem described a humorous and often times obscene situation involving the subject or the place.
