    also funds should be withdrawn from athletes who have not hit minimum targets. One of our olympians hadn’t competed all yet travelled to the games in Rio and came last in her heat. surely a waste a plane ticket, economy class or not!

      well in fairness, someone has to come last in the heat. If an athlete can hit the A or B standard then they deserve a chance to go. Not sure what you mean by the athlete hadn’t competed. They hadn’t raced this year? Or Hadn’t reached the A standard?
