do you not have better things to do with your time, than taking of pics of people trying to work!!! GET A JOB & A LIFE

Maybe don’t leave your cherry picker parked up for the evening blocking the path, respect for others doesn’t seem your strong point….

Tipsy, Am not, This is the classic parking section illustrating the best in selfish and inconsiderate parking.

It wasn’t there for the evening. And there’s another pathway about 4 metres away. They did a fairly quick job replacing windows, and it must have been better to park it there rather than the much busier pathway on Clanbrassil Street. Did you confront them with your anger or just publish the photo on a news website to demonstrate it?

You mean a quick job like blocking the left path in Clanbrassil street the whole day and then blocking the path Donavan lane, Did you get council permission to block the path?. Judging by the shoddy nature of the affair, I think not. You
don’t get the concept of the classic parking section here do you?

Why would I get permission? And how else should they get their job done? Have you ever observed windows being installed?

They re-routed pedestrians away from their work area with a temporary footpath to reduce risk to the public so Clanbrassil street wasn’t actually blocked. Didn’t look shoddy to me and I was watching them most of the day. Donovan Lane has two footpaths and it’s not like it’s too busy to cross. Just my observation to give context, not looking for an argument.

Sorry if you weren’t expecting a retort I just think people are far to quick to criticise these days. I’m sure they were doing their job as best as they could. And yes I do get classic parking and have even contributed myself :)

“News website” :) good one kevin….
And 3stella – how in jaysus’ name do you expect anyone to get any jaysus work done. Stop begrudging!!

You need council permission to close a public footpath, This morning they have closed the path on Canbrassil street for 50m today with two vans and some tape, forcing people out on the bus lane which is also open to busy general traffic between 10 -12pm.

As of your general observation, plenty of parking at the end on the lane instead of blocking the whole path on a reasonably busy lane. It isn’t issue for me to avoid it, but that area of Black Pitts is home to some elderly and relatively infirm population who aren’t as nimble to avoid selfish, inconsiderate & illegal obstructions on the path.

Never mind that, chill and go visit Passion 4 Food (back of the pic) – in my (informed!) view the best shawarma/shish/seekh kebab in the country. the bread is excellent and freshly made and they add in olives – the only place i know that adds whole olives.

It’s run by Kurds, some of whom have cousins fighting Isis. this was where I first heard about the Isis lad’s fear of being killed by a woman (months before the media picked up on it – when they kill an Isis lad they always have the women fighters stand by the body and tweet the pics regardless of whether they got the kill or not. You don’t go to heaven if you’re killed by a woman)
