Part of today’s Irish Times coverage of Donald Trump’s press release on Denis O’Brien

What word has been redacted by the Irish Times?

Litigious?

Rich?

Cuddly?

We may never know.

Denis O’Brien remains silent after Trump’s attack on his record (Peter Murtagh, Irish Times)

Why would the Irish Times censor out the word corrupt?

Didn’t we spend roughly one and a half fupptonnes of money on a Tribunal that made that same finding? Can one be sued for talking about it now?

I’m guessing but the tribunal found that the payment was corrupt i.e the action. This headline states that the person is, which is slander or something.
      Hair splitting stuff.

I’d like to think that the IT was being ever so slightly mischievous with that – way more attention drawn to the word by redacting it than there would have been if they’d just left it.

But I’m the sort of fellow who sees good everywhere and in everyone.

Good man DOBBY. It’s good to have a local nasty leprechaun with a big shillelagh always at the ready to keep the other little people in good order.

Has any of this gained much traction in the states or is it just being dismissed as Trump’s Wednesday belch?

The US right wing media has turned against Donald. He threatened to reign in the Wall Street and Venture Fund Mafioso.

        2. Nigel

human does not actually think that the ‘left wing media’ in the USA wont cover any stories pertaining to Clinton corruption.

          1. Nigel

You’d think the ‘left wing media’ would be all over how Donald had a serial sexual harasser advising him, wouldn’t you?

          2. Nigel

Hilary’s getting blamed for her husband’s infidelities by serial philanderers, accused rapists, harassers and multiple divorcees. So both sides are as bad as each other. Ain’t no misogyny like modern US electoral misogyny.

We now live in a country that prevents it’s citizens from hearing what a US presidential candidate has to say in public. We’ve got no right to complain about authoritarian regimes in places like North Korea. We live in one.

    For fupp sake Irish times.
The findings of the Moriarty Tribunal say that Denis O’Brien was involved in corrupt activity. DOB’s attempt to appeal said findings have failed. This means his corrupt activity is on the record officially and permanently. SO WHAT ARE YEE FUPPING AFRAID OF!? DOB has no grounds for a lawsuit for keeping the word ‘corrupt’ in there, as it has been proven to be factually accurate!
This is so frustrating. Buck up Irish media.
