All Blacks perform the haka before their defeat against Ireland in Chicago earlier this month

Sinéad writes:

My lovely father is giving up his two tickets for this Saturday’s Ireland V New Zealand match, as he’s aware of the demand and sees the opportunity to raise some money for my Mum’s chosen charity – the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.

So – I’ve two great tickets on offer. East Stand, Premium Level on the 22.

The latest bid is €500 total – but the more we can raise for the DRCC the better! If someone out there would like to make a better offer, drop a line to sineadryanpr@gmail.com. Bidding closes 4pm Thursday.

Ah here now, Eamonn. This might be one case where we can lay down the weapons and play an impromptu game of soccer while swapping photos and chocolate. You know, like Fab Macca did when he won WW1.

Welcome to the brave new alt-right world where rape is made up by liberals and women who say no don’t mean it

I’ll go out on a limb and suggest that a PR professional is canny enough to obtain at least tacit approval from the IRFU.

@Bertie, presuming all is kosher with the auction, this gent deserves a steak dinner or a lock of pints or both.

Tickets for big sporting events should not be raffled, auctioned, prized away unless directly donated form the IRFU, GAA, FAI etc. Look at the All Ireland Football Final ticket madness. Every club in the country outside of Dublin and Mayo raffled off their tickets as a fundraising exercise. There has to be something done world wide about the reselling of sports tickets.

Nice gesture though, 500 for 2 is half what Viagogo (Evil) are selling them for.
