Wtf, was that utter poo? or is it just me?
As the band says…. it “issued this song on the eve of the Inauguration of President-Elect Donald Trump to serve as commentary on a politically-charged, historical moment”
….before I listen, is Damo gonna get all preachy now… are we going to have four years of preachy pop stars…. bring back the war-mongering-pretend-feminist-money-grabber-neocon-pretend-lefty-Hillary… Her fakery was better than celebrity preachers. I preferred it when these preachers had their heads rammed up each others rims…
And then i listened to it….
Ben sounds like Harry Belafonte doing a Christmas song… so, that was a surprise. I’m not exactly levitating like Wynona to Jump in the Line… but oddly, I do like this track…. could be a grower. And growers have a far longer lifespan than hits. I’ll have to water this one a bit….
* sticks on Jump in the Line straight after *
Go back to being Spongebob
Really liked it, which I wasn’t expecting to – Gorillaz a bit hit and miss with me, though I love Hewlitt’s animation. Singer has a lovely voice.
They filmed it at Trump Tower? Heh.
Plastic Beach was a great album, tbf
