   Any chance of a statue of Gulliver in Dublin….

   The tourists will love it (if done properly)

         It would be excellent to have a huge Gulliver soaring above Poolbeg looking out over Dublin Bay. I read about this in an article a while a go.

         As a proud Dubliner, I’d just love to see it happen.

      Hmm.. so it’s going to be either:
      1. same size as us – since Gulliver was, after all, a human;
      2. 6 inches tall – as a person of Lilliput would have seemed to Gulliver.
      3. 70 feet tall – as a person of Brobdingnag would have been to Gulliver.

      I’d go with thousands that are 6 inches tall; and then you could sell identical copies to the tourists to bring home.

   ★★★★★ The statue was lovely but the men taking pictures with it kept sexually harrassing the statue, kept touching her breasts which made me uncomfortable and is really disrespectful to the woman that the statue is supposed to represent. I wish they would put up a sign saying not to sexually harass her, it definitely ruined my experience. Even though I am aware it’s mearly a statue I still think it’s wrong.

   A Swedish ‘liberuul’ berating men for sexually assaulting the statue on google reviews. I suppose her deflected sex assault outrage has to go somewhere

      If men can’t be allowed to perform lewd and obscene sexual acts with inanimate objects on crowed public thoroughfares without criticism, then we’ve truly gone PC-crazy.

      Yeah it’s nice, despite the fact it doesn’t really do anything. Like it doesn’t move or play music or anything, like one of those Disneyland characters. But its nice. It’s a lady and a cart of fish. It’s nice. There’s a pizza hut around the corner!
